HÄFELE DESIGN CENTRE KUALA LUMPUR OPEN ITS DOOR TO INTERIOR DESIGN STUDENTS

Häfele Malaysia welcomes the first group of student visit from Raffles College of Higher Education, May 11 2016

A group of 13 interior design students in their last semester of second year were visiting to Häfele Design Center Kuala Lumpur. The students were led by Mr. Jason Toh, who is the programme director of Interior Design at Raffles College of Higher Education. Raffles College was established in 1994 and is part of Raffles Education Corporation - the largest private education group in Asia-Pacific.

The purpose of visit was to expose the students to a real-life innovation of German technology. How designers should be aspired to, in the form of creativity, innovation and practicality when it comes to space planning and design. The students were blown away by the solutions Häfele is offering across its product portfolio, especially Loox, which has greatly inspired them to the ideas of LED lighting – the fourth dimension of furniture.

With mega trending of urbanization worldwide, it is a great challenge for designers today and tomorrow to design for an even smaller space yet deliver more complex functions. Raffles students were impressed with Häfele’s thinking ahead solutions under its roof, from iMove in the kitchen, to magic corner installed in the wardrobe and pivot sliding system that convert messy kitchen into a sleek space in a just a few seconds.

Häfele Malaysia is looking forward to share ideas and bridging up with many more students to come.
