The company is putting the spotlight on space with added value, smart habitats, intelligent living areas and flexible working environments during the exhibition, therefore providing a wide range of potential new ideas for contemporary space utilisation, i.e. for “Smart Spaces”.
 
Sleeping, eating, living, working – the boundaries have become more flexible. Modern architecture opens up rooms and breaks down the barriers between different types of use. Rooms are organised using multifunctional equipment and lightweight, mobile furniture, which creates additional space. The desire for additional benefits and storage space in a limited amount of space calls for smart functionality. Intelligent technology bestows this functionality on furniture and adds value to the space. This is why hardware technology is the real innovative force and trendsetter in the furniture construction and room equipment areas.

Häfele hardware technology makes it possible to manufacture modular furniture for different needs, covering the entire quality range from high to low. It increases the number of variants and creates suitable products for different user groups in industrial manufacturing. The Häfele Group will be providing a live, practical demonstration of what this means at Interzum on its exhibition stand in hall 7. On 1100 square metres of exhibition space you will be able to experience three living rooms, four kitchens, intelligent wardrobes and storage space concepts, an entire office and flexible shops – all set up for the differing requirements of furniture users.

A wide range of Häfele product highlights that have been integrated in furniture will be on display on the exhibition stand. Here are a few examples of particularly clever new ideas:

Lightweight construction pioneer
Häfele is a pioneer and trendsetter in the lightweight construction area, and will be exhibiting how easy furniture is to build using its full product range. The main focus of the lightweight construction presentations will be on entire living areas and, as far as products are concerned, on the Aerofix 100 adhesive insert for using conventional hardware technology on frameless honeycomb panels with a 4 mm top layer in the industrial manufacturing process. For the first time, Häfele is also presenting a rear panel bracket and a shelf support for cabinets made from frameless honeycomb panels.

Additional operating convenience by means of soft closing – the Smuso 15 SD soft closing mechanism is a new and compact technical masterpiece from Häfele. It has a minimalist look, is unobtrusive on the furniture, is almost unbreakable during continuous use, and controls the closing of lightweight sliding furniture doors made from wood and glass using self-closing and retaining mechanisms. It is the ideal addition to the large sliding system product range with soft closing solutions for all weight classes.

The compact Smuso 15 SD soft closing mechanism for sliding doors will be making its debut on the Häfele stand. It can be either surface mounted or recess mounted in the furniture cabinet.

Quick-change artist: From bed to workplace
Hidden Bed is the name of a special quick-change artist on the Häfele exhibition stand. Intelligent hardware technology makes it possible: That which is a comfortable bed at night is transformed into a fully functional workplace during the day.

As far as hinges are concerned, a new innovative stay flap hinge with adjustable holding power is available for caravan cabinets. This hinge dispenses with the need for a lid stay.

The Moovit drawer system is a new, versatile drawer system that has been developed and manufactured in-house. It is easy to integrate in industrial furniture manufacture and represents a useful alternative for manufacturers of kitchens, project kitchens and living room as well as laboratory furniture.
